Notre-Dame Cathedral is the heart of Gothic Paris 

The Notre-Dame Cathedral is still one of the most powerful images of Paris, even though it is currently being fixed up. It stands proudly on Île de la Cité and has watched over the city for hundreds of years, through wars, uprisings, and now fire. 

People have been drawn to it for a long time because of its flying buttresses, detailed carvings, and famous bell towers—but what stays with you is how it makes you feel inside. Through the colorful stained glass, light shines into a room that feels holy and lasting. 

While the inside is being repaired, visitors are limited to the outside. However, going around the building and along the Seine is still a moving experience. Gargoyles can be seen peeking out from above, and you can hear the city's sounds echoing off the walls. 

Notre-Dame is more than just a church; it's the beating heart of Paris, full of history, strength, and beauty that will never fade.
