Marienplatz – The Vibrant Center of Munich’s History and Culture

The main attraction here is the Glockenspiel, an animated clock that showcases dancing figurines reenacting historic Bavarian events. Just opposite the Neues Rathaus, the Altes Rathaus (Old Town Hall) adds even more historical charm to the square. Just a short stroll away, you’ll discover the Mariensäule, also known as the Marian Column, a beautiful structure dating back to the 17th century.
