Frauenkirche (Cathedral of Our Dear Lady)

Frauenkirche is the Twin-Tower Heartbeat of Munich 

The Frauenkirche is impossible to miss. This building is one of the most famous in Munich. Its two green domes rise high above the cityscape. It's a quiet place with a lot of history, faith, and strength. It's officially called the Cathedral of Our Dear Lady. 

With its high domed ceilings and soft light coming in through stained glass, the church is surprisingly simple and peaceful on the inside. The "Devil's Footprint," a strange mark near the door linked to a local story, is one of the most interesting features. 

You can get a great view of Munich from the top of one of the towers. On a clear day, you can even see the Alps. There is something beautiful about Frauenkirche that is worth seeing whether you are interested in history, architecture, or just some peace and quiet.
